So this great hat appears perfect! Someone must have worn it? At least a few times but it’s hard to tell is look pristine. Well beside a bit of dust on it. Dad used his horsehair brush but still a bit of dust on it. See pictures! We took pictures of every angle so you can see every detail!Perfect leather sweatband， completely and securely attached! So very rare to find these 1950s Stetson hats in such excellent condition! Taupe and is tagged and measures to a perfect size 7. Could be stretched to a 7-1/8 by a good hatter though! This has a very nice wide brim at 3.6 inches.This is now shaped as a Cowboy Ranch or Cowboy Fedora. We have heard both terms used with this classic cowboy shape.My grandson is telling dad and I that this hat is a hat that you’d find on the 1883 Cowboy series that we are watching now.So this is an early NO.1 quality material. We struggled to figure out what beaver X rating to give it? We took out a selection of dad’s 1950s Stetson Beaver hats: 3X， 7X Clear Beaver， Ten， and Fifteen. It’s a better quality than the 3X Beaver not as good as a 10X beaver. So dad and I decided to conservatively rate it at Beaver 6X. It’s a vintage Stetson material so please use the 1950s hat grading to understand the quality! NOT the new beaver materials! This is very very soft and thick! NOTE: The hat was stored inside that Stetson “Cowboys Life” hat box. This box is available now to be included in this sale. You will need to write to us though before you buy it. Currently it’s THE HAT ONLY! Dad last sold one of these great “Cowboy’s Life” hat boxes for $95 and shipping. The box is in excellent condition! Yes it’s has some minor paper wear， the top you can see had tape on it that we carefully removed. But the box is still very strong and sturdy. We took that first picture with the worst side shown! You can see it’s really a great show piece! And it does have a hat holding insert also to hold your hat. It’s not the original hat holding insert set but it’s functions perfectly! Dad used an old oval broken hat box and we cut it down to make this insert.If you decide that you want that hat box it will only cost $60 plus the shipping will be $32.30.If you have any questions please write to us.This is a TAUPE color. The picture of the whole underside best reflects the color of this great hat! Not sure why we can’t get the color to always come out consistently? Anybody out there has any suggestions?This also includes in this sale an old original rain hat protective cover. This was purchased along with the hat and was was found under the hat holder inserts. Still in excellent condition! And works perfectly!This is a hat folks will notice!
